Start planning 3–4 months before your travel dates. Schengen visa appointments can take 2–6 weeks to get depending on the embassy, and you'll want your itinerary and documents ready before that. Car rentals and accommodation are also significantly cheaper when booked early, especially for peak summer travel (June–August). We recommend reaching out to us at least 3 months ahead so there's no last-minute rush.

Yes — Indian licence holders need an International Driving Permit (IDP) to drive in most European countries. You can get one from your local RTO in India; it typically costs around ₹1,000 and takes 1–2 weeks. Some car rental companies will refuse to hand over the car without one, even if local law technically allows your Indian licence. Europe has some of the safest roads in the world, with excellent signage, well-maintained highways, and strict traffic enforcement. The biggest adjustment for Indian drivers is lane discipline and speed limit changes at borders — not safety.
